This is a discussion about 今に

Incorrect translation?

It means more of a "soon; sooner or later". I am not a native Japanese nor English.

"Before long" means roughly the same thing as "sooner or later"

Well, okay, not roughly the same thing, but they are similar expressions. "Before long" means "in the near future", so something like "soon", and "sooner or later" means "eventually".
