Mixed romaji/kana search (or partial kana search)

I am trying to get a list of all ru ending godan verbs that have a vowel 'i' or 'e' before the 'ru'.
I have tried many ways like this:
*iru #words #v5r
or
*i? #words #v5r
but I only get back words that end in いる.

I want all verbs that end in *iru.
An example of such a word is:
切る (きる) (to cut)

The only way it seems possible to do this is via the tedious process of searching for EVERY consonant vowel pain of 'i' and 'e' before the ru.

Am i missing something?
Is there no way to search for just a part of a kana (like 'k' or 'i' if the kana was 'ki')

Has anyone come up with an elegant way to perform the search above that does not involve multiple searches?

This is currently not possible. It's something I've wanted myself though, so it might happen at some point in the future :)
