This is a discussion about 帰る

帰るshould be an u-verb instead of ru-verb.

There are many u-verb like 帰る, which should be an u-verb instead of ru-verb. But Jisho does not tell that.

I think you misunderstand what the dictionary is saying. The proper name for what's usually called a 'u-verb' is 'godan (五段) verb' and the 'ru-verb's are 'ichidan (一段) verbs'.
So as you can see at the top of the definition, 帰る is a 'Godan verb with ru ending'. The 'ru' here refers only to how the verb actually ends so it's clear how it should be conjugated under godan verb rules.

Compare with an actual ichidan/ru-verb like http://jisho.org/word/始める
