This is a discussion about 人工内耳

Which verb to use with cochlear implant?

I need to write that my student has a cochlear implant and therefore cannot have an MRI in an emergency.
Which verb would I use? shite imasu, arimasu, tsukete imasu? tsuite imasu? 教えてください

I researched a bit and I've found both つける (so つけている) and する (so している) are used.
Though it also seems to be common to refer to the surgery, so 人工内耳(の)手術を受けている

to reply.
