1. New Zealand StakesThe New Zealand Stakes is a major thoroughbred horse race in New Zealand. It is run over 2000m at Ellerslie racecourse on the final day of the Cup Carnival in March for a stake of $200,000. It was previously called the Air New Zealand Stakes. Many famous gallopers have won the race including Balmerino and Bonecrusher.
