1. Pusher configurationIn a craft with a pusher configuration the propeller(s) are mounted behind their respective engine(s). According to Bill Gunston, a "pusher propeller" is one mounted behind engine so that drive shaft is in compression. Pusher configuration describes also more commonly the specific layout of a fixed-wing aircraft of which the thrust device has a pusher configuration.
