1. Kizugawa, KyotoKizugawa, Kyoto is a city in southern Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. The city was founded on March 12, 2007 by the merger of the towns of Kamo, Kizu and Yamashiro, all from Sōraku District. It is the southernmost city in the prefecture. The town is named after the Kizu River, which runs through the city. As of February 1, 2012, the area the city occupies had an estimated population of 71,582, with 26,119 households, and the total area is 85.12 km².
