堀場製作所
1. Horibais a Japanese manufacturer of precision instruments for measurement and analysis. They claim to have 80% of the world market for instruments that measure and analyze automobile exhaust gas, and also make instruments for environmental, medical and scientific applications. Horiba was founded in 1945 by Dr. Masao Horiba, who graduated in nuclear physics from Kyoto University. In the early 1950s he started mass-production of pH meters; the present company was registered in 1953.
