1. Akigawa, TokyoAkigawa, Tokyo was a city located in the western portion of Tokyo Metropolis, Japan. On April 1, 1889, the villages of Higashiakiru, Nishiakiru, Kusabana, Sugao, Sedooka and Harakomiya were established within Nishitama District, then a portion of Kanagawa Prefecture. The entire district was transferred to the administrative control of Tokyo Metropolis on April 1, 1893.
