2. Tamaki, MieTamaki, Mie is a town located in Watarai District, Mie, Japan. As of 2010, the town has an estimated population of 15,268 and a density of 373 persons per km². The total area is 40.94 km². Springtime in Tamaki-chō features cherry blossoms, rice fields, persimmon trees, nurseries and vegetable fields growing daikon, cabbage and more. There are many forests which have been designated as wildlife protection areas. There is a train station in the town on the JR Rapid Mie line.
