2. Kinomoto, ShigaKinomoto, Shiga was a town located in Ika District, Shiga, Japan. It was the center of the district. In Sengoku period, Battle of Shizugatake broke out at a mountain in the west of Kinomoto. As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 8,795 and a density of 99.45 persons per km². The total area was 88.44 km². On January 1, 2010, several municipalities were merged into the city of Nagahama.
