What do you mean?
I think in most browsers you should be able to press tab once or twice to get to the search field.
Hi Matt and KImtaro, Once I briefly reviewed the results, the cursor shifts away from the "Textarea." Can I realign the cursor back to the "Textarea" without having to refresh or employ alternative strategies? I rely heavily on keyboard shortcuts, so using the mouse is not the most efficient option for me.
You need a shortcut key to immediately put the cursor on search bar (text area), right? I use "Alt + 1" for Jisho.
Small problem: if you accidently press Alt alone, it goes to some stuff on the browser bar, so press Esc to remove it and try again.
As Lyza said, the shortcut is indeed "1" plus a modifier key (Alt). (Technical note: it is defined in the "accesskey" attribute of the "a" tag of the clear button for the entry area) It will vary depending on the browser and operating system, but for most cases is Alt+1 or Ctrl+Option+1 (Alt+Shift+1 in Firefox). It will also have the side effect of clearing the search textbox.
Arigatou Lyza san and Jlochoap san for the desired answer. Tested in Windows OS
Chrome = Alt + 1
Edge = Alt + 1
Firefox = Alt + Shift + 1
Side Note: It will also have the side effect of clearing the search textbox.
