This is a discussion about やばい

Stem of root verb, 危ぶむ: to fear, be apprehensive

I just thought this kanji should be included in the Details page for やばい, like so many others.

Do you have a source for that? Japanese dictionaries say it's derived from the archaic word "やば" and don't say anything about 危ぶむ.

I know https://gogen-yurai.jp/yabai/ among others has a hypothesis that these words have the same origin, but I don't think that's necessarily concensus.
