Can you give an example? If a name has a kanji version, I don't see why you'd need it in katakana. Katakana is typically used for foreign names, unless it's specifically a style choice by the creator to put it in katakana.
And in any case, there's no difference in pronunciation between hiragana and katakana.

is there a way to display katakana in addition to hiragana?
when I search kanji spellings to find #names it only displays how to pronounce them in hiragana. In some cases, a character's name pronunciation is given in katakana, so I would like to be able to view this too to find out which it is more easily.
