that what makes the language beautiful tho ;)
Are you asking a serious question or just wanting to make a joke?
The style of word where a sound is repeated and then has しい tacked on to make adjectives is common.
荒々しい
華々しい
仰々しい
ばかばかしい
Doing the same with 若い doesn't seem strange.
ecks
DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Good to know: Adjectives ending in -shii are nowadays just regular i-Adjectives but used to be a special class. (And used to end in -shiku). That's why the し is also never part of the kanji. They mostly describe feelings.
With that in minds it's easy to understand the difference in meaning between just 若い and 若々しい. I don't think it's funny but if the sound of this word motivates you to learn Japanese then more power to you.
WAKA WAKA
Waka waka
Waka waka
Shiiiiiiii......
This is a word. How is this even possible? How did this happen? What does it take for a language to come up with a word that sounds like a pacman pop-idol doing a pose for a photo?
Japanese is too weird.
