Seems to be indeed slang, and mostly only used in Kansai. Just search for ぐねる 意味 and you'll find some discussions on the topic.

My Japanese coworker just told me it's equivalent to 捩じる or 捻る. He also confirmed that it's probably a form of Kansai dialect.

Can't find entry for ぐねる. Does someone have information about this verb?
I stumbled upon the sentence "足首ぐねっちゃった". After some research and asking around I was told the verb is ぐねる and that it means the same as くじく or 捻挫する.
Sadly, I can't find any more information or if it's a dialect. Does someone have more information?
