Latency is really bad?

I am getting 150ms ping from jisho.org...super slow. Anybody else?

This can be the case depending on where in the world you are accessing Jisho from.

Our server sits in north eastern Canada, so if you are on the opposite side of the world you will unfortunately see latency around 100-150ms.
