Translations from Wikidata

Right now, Jisho already fetches translations from Wikipedia (based on article names), but fetching data from it’s sister project Wikidata would seem like an even better choice to me, since it has a much more database-like approach. Also, since Wikidata focuses on pure data rather than full-blown articles in encyclopedic language, there are a number of cases where the names in various languages are covered on Wikidata but not on Wikipedia. For instance, when searching for East Frisia on Jisho, it only returns 東フリースラント諸島, meaning East Frisian Islands. While it can be inferred from this translation that East Frisia might be 東フリースラント, Q165269 (the Wikidata item about East Frisia: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q165269) reveals that it is also known as 東フリースランド and オストフリースラント.

Any thoughts about this?

Yes, I would love to do this :)

The current Wikipedia data in Jisho comes from the DBpedia 3.8 data set (http://wiki.dbpedia.org/services-resources/datasets/data-set-38/downloads-38). This is getting a bit old, so I'd like to update it to a more recent version, which I believe include data from Wikidata.
