Using it in normal conversation is not at all negative, unless it is part of a statement meant to be negative in meaning or through other words. The only case in which you wouldn't really want to use it is in a situation where the keigo ご存知 is appropriate, which isn't common if you are talking just to friends or to equals. Log in to reply.
