Hey, the way the entries are rendered here on Jisho.org kinda reflects the structure of the JMdict database. The database format defines so-called "restriction tags" which Jisho.org shows by means of these "Only applies to XX." notes. I'd agree with you that for some entries this wording is misleading.

The 'only applies to' property for certain meanings (particularly uta - 歌)
I understand that some meanings for words only apply to certain kanji, which may be one of the 'other forms' for the word. But I'm not sure this system is working right.
I use as my example the entry for 'uta' (歌). Meanings one and three have two 'only applies to' notes. It can't mean 'only' if it applies twice, surely. It can't be 'only' this kanji but also another one.
I suppose this is relatively minor, but at the same time how things are organised is central to the entire enterprise.
