This is a discussion about 気持ち悪い

sick!!?

I feel like this example could be easily misinterpreted:
なんかそれ、ブヨブヨしていて
気持ち悪いね。
Oooh, sick! What is that stuff? It's all spongy.

In english, sick is VERY oftentimes used colloquially to equal something "cool," as in, "a really awesome thing." I think the best comparison is やばい, which is usually a negative connotation, but is very commonly used to be positive. I feel like changing the word in the example to something like "gross" could avoid confusion.

I agree with you. Remember that something spongy is offensive to the speaker.
